Caught Being a Rocket

Another component of Wilshire Park’s Positive Behavior Support system is Caught Being A Rocket. Tickets are given by any Wilshire Park staff or personnel to those students who exhibit being a Safe, Respectful, and Responsible Student Rocket. Students are given tickets any time of the day and the student turns in their tickets to the collection box in the main office. At the end of the week on Fridays, the PTA collects the box, pulls tickets from all classes, provides a list of students selected to all teachers, and then selected students are sent to the PTA office to choose a prize for their excellent behavior. Prizes vary from time to time are are paid for by the PTA to promote positive behavior throughout the Wilshire Park community.
